CLUB SERVICE is the "glue" that helps our club "stick together". Club Service Chair Larry Laird is dedicated to providing the best meetings possible by booking interesting and informative speakers at every meeting. Our meetings start and end on time and every person attending receives a Meeting Program at his/her table setting so that you can see what will take place that day. Socials are an important part of our Rotary life and just about every community service project ends with a social after work!
We submitted these activities for Club Service Awards for the 2010-11 Rotary year AND WE RECEIVED FIRST PLACE IN THIS DIVISION:
- March Madness Four-Club Fundraiser
- 41 Fellowship and Joint Club activities
- Powerful meetings with a speaker at every meeting an recognition of Rotarian who traveled most distance with Commemorative Coin,
- Over 90% attendance at meetings
- Outstanding user-friendly website and weekly e-bulletin
- Printed monthly calendar
- Outstanding meeting speakers at every meeting
- Outstanding local media coverage - 18 articles about multi-club activities, 16 articles published about Kihei Sunrise activities
- One member D5000 Trainer for 5 District Assemblies
